Wanna practice yoga by working WITH your body instead of just bossing it around?? I help people find a practice that sincerely works for them and their tight hammies and social anxiety and their stupid water bottle that just won’t….stop… leaking….’cause we can do better than one size fits all.
Have you ever attended a Yoga class and felt pressured to keep up, or ignore that twinge of fear for your low back, or sit perfectly still and relax. Ewwww.
You deserve better than that!
You deserve options! You deserve to do breath work…or not if it makes you uneasy.
You deserve to do as much or as little as you like…cause I’M NOT THE BOSS OF YOU!
You deserve loads of options for the poses and to laugh a little at the process because you’re a really big deal. FOR REALS!!
You deserve to work in cooperation with that amazing body of yours so you can live your life with happy parts (I’m looking at you low back) and happy hearts (’cause you have decided to be your own ride or die friend).
My favorite thing in the classroom is when a dozen people are doing a dozen variations of a pose…because that means that everyone is listening to their body!! And when we listen to our body on the Yoga mat we naturally, organically, magically begin to notice what we like and don’t like off that mat too. (Remember those happy hearts?!?)
Expecting us all to move the same is like expecting us to all look amazing in the same pair of pants. NOT GONNA HAPPEN MY FRIEND! As cute as they are in the store, i just can’t wear a pair of Old Navy jeans without looking like I’ve had “an accident 🥴”.
So let’s not worry about all being the same….We aren’t a chorus line!
Instead let’s have classes at Alicia Tate Yoga, online classes, workshops, and private sessions that are all designed to meet you where you are at and help you get what you need.
